This 46,000 SF new building replaces the existing main library that had served the community of South Huntington for the past 30 years. The new building consists of a main collection of 160,000 volumes and a children’s library with a collection of 50,000 volumes. The building is two stories with a mezzanine. The building is state of the art in terms of technology, energy efficiency and environmental concerns, and is designed to be adaptable to address an uncertain future.
